On May 6, 2025 peacefully in Masterton aged 73 years. Cherished husband of Sandy. Much loved father and father-in-law of Margaret and Mark, Kevin, and Kirston. Loved G Dad and Great G Dad of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved brother of Tommy and Judy, Annette, and Margaret. Messages C/- PO Box 460, Masterton. John. sad to here of your passing. I remember you well as a shunter/ staff instructor in Christchurch. You came up to Picton to certify staff in our rules and regs. You were a fair man in that department. if we didn't have the answer quite right you would still pass.

I worked with John in the training department of KiwiRail. John was a well respected trainer and a really decent bloke to work with. Full of knowledge and willing to share that knowledge. A very sad end for a good man.
