Michael PERRY Obituary
Mike passed peacefully surrounded by family. Beloved husband and best friend of Sue for nearly 60 years. Much loved Dad of Richard, Steven and Michele; father-in-law of Helga and Tor. Adored Grandad of Daniel, Friday, Keira, Ariella, Emma, Georgina, and Max. Baby brother of Jack, Josie, Graham and Barney. A true legend, merchant navy man, auctioneer, entrepreneur, animal lover and classic car enthusiast. Remembered always for his humour, charm and gift of the gab. Thanks to the Wairarapa Cancer Society and Carter Court for their beautiful care. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Cancer Society www.cancersociety.org.nz would be appreciated. A service for Mike will be held in the South Wairarapa Working Men's Club, (West St entrance) Greytown on Thursday 28th August 2025 at 11.00am followed by private cremation. I will always remember Mike as being a kind knowledgeable & compassionate Antiques Dealer . In a competitive industry he was very generous person with his knowledge . The bond he had with his wife Sue was one of old-fashioned strength . I remember competing with them both at many Auctions at Dunbar Sloane in the early 90's . My thoughts to Sue & family . It´s been an honour to call Mike a true friend of so many years we´ve shared travel work & pleasure over the years he is a true legend of the old school they don´t make them like that anymore ? We will miss his humour & far fetched story´s what a wonderful life we´ve all shared & he´s left behind a beautiful wife & family. Rest in peace our dear friend.
