My papa was the best grandfather I could ever have. He was such a loving and lovable person. He always did nice things for me, like taking me out for ice cream, getting me the coolest toys, and creating lasting memories together. I remember one time when my papa and I took a road trip from Regina all the way to Osoyoos. We stopped at different hotels along the way, and he brought his cat, Fluffy. We used to sneak Fluffy into hotels that didn´t allow pets, and once, during a wedding in the lobby, her litter box spilled all over the floor! We ran out of there laughing so hard.

Another favorite memory was spending time with him in Vancouver around Christmas - he bought a drone for me and my brother to fly around the hotel room, and we played with it before going out for dinner as a family.
Another memory of my papa was when he got married, and I decided to go up and give a speech about how grateful I was that he was happy with his new wife. I was only about six or seven years old, and it was such a funny, random thing for me to do - but that moment has always stuck with me. I´ll always cherish every memory with my Papa.

Our beloved Papa, Dad and friend has finally found peace. He was a beloved by his children and his grandchildren and countless other friends and family members back home in Canada where he resided most of his life. He was a hardworking entrepreneur and dedicated employee who worked tirelessly to be a role model for others in his field and people who loved him deeply. He always wanted to return to the city where he was born and made memories as a child. His beloved family who always supported his dream of retiring in New Zealand, feel great comfort that he passed away where he always said he wanted to be laid to rest, with his Mom and little brother. Not a day goes by that his enormous presence isn´t felt by those who loved him unconditionally and know he is celebrating large on the other side. We adore you Papa and we know we were loved by you deeply. Until we meet again Papa.

Wanda, I´m so sorry for your loss, not easy to see your partner in pain. I´m so glad he had you by his side.
Lucas still has the Toronto Maple Leafs jersey Tony gave him many years ago and now it actually fits him and he wears it when they play the oilers to big Grant.
I also cherish the memories when Tony took the kids to the skatepark- a fun day we´ll cherish.
Thank you both for always welcoming us in your home.
He will be missed and I look forward to his celebration and hearing more stories.
Hugs and love
Grant, Kimberly, Lucas and Sarabella
