Doris Jaggard Obituary

JAGGARD, Doris Edna. On 31st July 2025 peacefully at St John's Hill Healthcare aged 88 years. Dearly loved Wife of the late Tim. Much loved Mum and Mother-in-law of Ray and Maryann, Peter and Tracy. Loved Grandma of all her Grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at St John's Hill Health Care for their care of Mum. Friends are invited to attend a Service to celebrate Doris's life in the Christ Church Anglican Church, Wicksteed Street, Whanganui, on Saturday 9th August 2025 at 11.00am to be followed by a private cremation.

Zac and I send our love to dad , Peter, Tracy ,Uncle Ray, Maryann and family. We are sorry that we are unable to be there with you all to celebrate the life of a remarkable mother, grandmother and friend. We will be thinking of you all on Saturday. Your mum was a selfless woman of faith who gave so much of her time to her church and fellowship. She was the type of person who would give a homeless person her coat if it were cold. She was always there if anyone from church needed anything. She would put other people's needs before her own. You should be so proud of your mum's kind, caring and loving nature. She had a great sense of humour and could make light of any situation. Her number one love was her two boys Raymond and Peter. She was so proud of you both. I want to especially thank Raymond for always being there for mum and being her rock. She loved you so much and I'm sure she's looking down with a huge smile on her face that her two boys have reunited to celebrate her life. Doris had a love of butterflies . Now she has earned her wings she can fly high and gracefully. She is finally reunited with her Tim. I will have fond memories of Doris that I will forever treasure. She was one very special lady that will always have a special place in my heart. RIP Doris xo

Her friendship with my mother (Colleen Kendall) meant a lot to her. They enjoyed laughter and shared memories, cups of tea and scones. Their friendship lasted for as long as I can remember. Your mum was always kind to me as well; I stayed with you all for a few days when I was at Intermediate School (my mum had gone on a school trip with my sister). She was very caring and included me in all her activities. I felt very welcome in your home.
