We recently heard of John passing, best way I can describe John is he was a beautiful caring person who went out of his way to help others, who got me through many medical issues over the years, got to know John quite well as a patient and a friend....Our Sincere Condolences to Maree and Johns family, a great loss.

The Moore Family and Maree
My wife and i have been going to Doctor John most of our lives, he was so much more than just our Doctor it was always such an experience on every visit .I remember he was telling me about his trip to outback Australia and on patching up an Aborigine asked how he felt and the answer was I've got two feet and a heart beat so John comes home and calls his race horse four feet and a heartbeat . We took John and spent a day out in the Kaimanawa with the wild horses , it was obvious at that stage Johns affiliation with the horses and nature, it would be the last day i spent with John.
I would like to offer my condolences to a very special man, Doctor and friend . its been my pleasure to have known you .Goodbye John thanks for keeping me alive over the last fifty years

My condolences for your loss.
I saw John as a patient at times. He was a great pleasure to take advice from. We had some candid chats, not so about him personally of course. He was always friendly!
I hadn't known about this struggle of his.
All the very best and for the grief that has so many twists and turns. It's never really over. My sympathies.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful friendship and professional relationship that started for both our parents during WWII service overseas. We remember his parents and John with great affection.

We remember with gratitude the professional medical help that John gave to all members of our family. It became more than medical support and developed into an ongoing friendship for many reasons over many years. John was always available, encouraging and helpful. This also included backing some of his successful racehorses.
Go in peace!
