My condolences to the Power family. Mr Power actions inspired others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more. He was a good person and a true leader. Mr Power and Mr Paul Canham were a good team and I was fortunate to be a student at WHS from 1980-1984. Many good memories RIP.

Dear Leith, thank you for all the decades of your wonderful singing contribution to Schola Sacra Choir, starting in 1974 and ending with your beautiful Christmas solo of "In the Bleak Midwinter" in your retirement Christmas concert of 2021. It has been a pleasure to know you since I took over the choir at the end of 2018. Rest in peace, and keep up your singing in the next place! :-) All the very best, Iain Tetley

My thoughts are with you all at this sad time. Leith was my French teacher at WHS and Deputy Principle. He was an amazing man and I have always been not just a student, but a fellow worker at WHS and his friendship has been a great part of my life. So many fond memories of his life and legacy.

Condolences to whanau, especially to Mrs Jo Power/née Ms Jo Friend. Both were my teachers in the early 1970s at Whanganui High School. Fond memories of Mr Power saying, " So far, so good," during a recap in his English lessons! Always firm but very fair and a wonderful teacher.
Deepest sympathy

I have many happy memories of Leith, Alf King, Roy Lupton, David Laing and others as a young teacher at WHS in 1971 and 1972. Great school with wonderful teachers. Leith was DP then.
