Linda Suits Obituary

Linda Lou Suits

Linda Lou Suits, 61, of Springfield, died Monday, March 10, 2014 in her home. Linda was born June 15, 1952 in Springfield, daughter of Stanley Frank and Mildred (Freligh) Shimkus.

Linda enjoyed flowers, gardening, quilting and cosmetology. She was a teacher and a counselor for the blind for many years.

Linda was preceded in death by her father and brother, Stanley Shimkus.

She is survived by her son, Ric (April White) Suits; grandson, RJ Suits; mother, Mildred Freligh; two brothers, Frank and Carl Shimkus; three sisters, Sharon, Diane and Sandy Shimkus, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until time of funeral service at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Reverend Larry Hansen will be officiating.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of Linda. She a was great woman. She was a great cook, she loved her garden. Every summer thats where you could find her. Dirty knees and dirty gardening gloves handing you a fresh tomato off the vine saying "here try this its so good". Lol Purple Cherokee. My condolences go out to her family and friends.

I was extremely saddened to read of Linda's death. She was a gentle soul and a kind person. She is now with her brother, Stanley, who loved Linda so much! Prayers for the family.
