Lloyd was a constant of the Wanganui racing scene in his various roles during my visits to the River City over a 40+ year period.
Always good fun to catch up with and swap stories.

Thinking of your family Lloyd, very sad to hear the news, an old trooper from Rivercity Radio and of course loved his horse racing. Gone too soon. With sympathy the Potts family.

Saddened to read online the passing of Lloyd in the Wanganui Chronicle, I knew Lloyd from my Prison serving days at Kaitoke
(Wanganui) late 70's early 80's when he held the position as Stores manager, Lloyd was a good bugger and did not suffer fools, Lloyd became a good friend as well as a comrade albeit I was a Prison Officer & he often called on me to Gollie for him for his hokey team - to his family please accept my condolences at this sad time (Wanganui City will miss him dearly)

Sending all my love to the Allpress family, Lloyd was truly a great man and friend. So many fond memories of adventures. He loved his racehorses and all the people involved.
Rest in peace my friend.
