I would like to pass on my condolences as my father let me know that your mum - and my Godmother - has recently passed away.
I remember your mother with such fond childhood memories. I stayed with Auntie Lysbeth when I was five years old and my parents went to Melbourne for six weeks so my father could undergo surgery on his eyes. I loved my time at Mount Desert and I have a strong recollection of many of the things we did. Like sliding down the stairs on trays, playing croquet on the lawn and riding my trike into the pool with James. I also remember the door being slammed on my finger and going to hospital where your mum fed me lots of chocolate fish while I waited for your dad to stitch it up. Thanks to him, he saved my nail.
Hearing this sad news I've been thinking a lot about my Godmother. I've never understood my love of board games and in a light bulb moment think it was thanks to your mum. Even now when I play Boggle I think of her! And every time I visited there was a new board game to play.
Thinking of you all at this difficult time as you celebrate your mum's remarkable life. Sending comforting hugs. Lots of love to all, Anne ❤

My thoughts are with you all. My mother(Colleen Kendall) worked for you mother for a number of years in the 1970/80's. I have many fond memories of visiting your house while my mother cleaned. I enjoyed helping polish the long table in the dining room. Your mother was always friendly and welcoming. She was very supportive towards my mum. I remember her awesome sense of humour. I appreciate the time she gave me when she was able to. Keep the memories close and talk about your mother often. Fiona McMillan (nee Kendall)
