Ruth PENN Obituary

PENN, Ruth Thelma. Passed away peacefully at home on 24 September 2025. Loving wife of the late Roger. Treasured Mum to Russell and Jennifer, Alan and Jeanette, and Ashley and Lida. Loving Grandma to her 10 grandchildren and their partners, and proud GranGran of her 16 great-grandchildren. Special Aunty Ruth to Moana, and Nana Penn to the Hazelwood and Oliver families. A loving sister, aunt, and friend. Safe in the arms of her Saviour A service to celebrate Ruth's life will be held in the Riverside Christian Church, 4 Ingestre Street Whanganui on Tuesday, 30 September 2025 at 11am, and will be lived streamed on You Tube, search Riverside Christian Church.

Dear Russell, Jeanette and Ashley.
I am so sorry to hear, read about Aunty Ruth's passing today.
Believe it or not, I was unknowingly thinking about her just recently and wondering how you all are. I began reminiscing about my childhood days and the refuge I found in visiting both yours and the Sanders in the Crescent before heading to Girls Brigade or Church and Sunday School.
Aunty Ruth was particularly tolerant of my early visits and elongated overstays. I loved so much the calm and loving atmosphere provided there. I admired you all and am grateful for those early introductions to God and Jesus, witnessing what true Christian values looked like.
RIP Aunty Ruth. I am sure Grandad and Grandma, Aunty Jean and my dad have met you with open arms. My love To aunty Alex, Aunty Vicki and Uncle Ian.
