Louis Michael Domenico Obituary
Louis Michael Domenico

AGE: 83 • Morganville

Louis Michael Domenico, 83, of Morganville, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. He had spent his career working in the banking industry; first for Marine Midland Bank in New York City as Vice President of Global Operations and then retiring from Garban Guy Buthler in 2001. While working for the bank he attended The American Banking Association. Louis was born in Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of Morganville for the past 58 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and whether he was hunting, crabbing, fishing, playing a round of golf or simply enjoying his time in his garden, you could always find Louis outside. When he wasn't enjoying the outdoors, he loved playing cards, taking trips to the horse track, bowling, and going to the movies with his wife. He also enjoyed playing softball for the Morganville Independent Fire Company. Louis was always very involved with both his children and grandchildren and supported the sports that they participated in. Family was number one and the most important to him. He was also a proud Korean War Veteran who served in the 9th Infantry Division of the US Army, where he was wounded in combat. Louis was awarded a Bronze Star for his bravery during combat. His memory will live on with all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Raffaela Domenico, a brother Anthony "Sonny" Domenico, and a sister Connie. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Carol Domenico, 3 sons and daughters-in-law; Michael and Susan Domenico, Ronald and Michelle Domenico, and Raymond and Terri Domenico, a sister Mary Grace Domenico, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 2-4pm in the afternoon and 7-9pm in the evening at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751.
