Marilyn "Lyn" Andrews Popler (nee Main), a longtime Mt. Laurel resident, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. She was 71. Lyn had retired after many years as a dedicated Elementary School Teacher in Willingboro and Westampton Twp. Schools. A kind-hearted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was known for her warmth in welcoming her dear friends and family to her home, and took pleasure in decorating and setting the table days before company would arrive.

Lyn was an active member of the Medford United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the AAUW, Moorestown Garden Club, and the Learning Is For Everyone (LIFE) organization at Burlington County College.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Joel; four children, Susan, David, Andrew, and Scott Popler; four grandchildren, Dylan, Bradley, Luke, and Grace; and a brother, Bruce Main.

Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening, Feb. 14 at the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd., Medford. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at the church. Entombment will follow in Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Church or to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Dr., Westampton, NJ 08060. Arrangements by the Perinchief Chapels, Mt. Holly.
