Mark Ellet Raby Obituary
Raby, Mark Ellet
Mark Ellet Raby, 58 went home to be with the LORD on January 4, 2014 after a long battle with the complications of Diabetes. Mark was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix Arizona and spent his entire life in the Phoenix area. He was the son of Virginia (Campbell) and Gerald Raby. He was brother to Jerry (Eve), Dan (Darlene) and Carolyn (Preston) Dickson. He was the husband of Teresa and father to Nathan and Daniel. He was uncle to many. Mark was involved in boy scouts from a young age and became an Eagle Scout at the age of 15. He was involved with his church and was also involved with a non-profit, Walk for Development, for many years. After high school Mark studied at Phoenix College and Arizona State University and graduated with an accounting degree in 1977. He went on to receive his Certified Public Accountant designation and worked a series of accounting jobs until he started his own accounting practice in 1992. In 2008, Mark sold his practice and began to work for the federal government, continuing there until his death. Mark had a life-long love of the outdoors and that love included hunting, camping, four wheeling and exploring. He enjoyed working with children and was involved in a Bible program at the church he attended. But the most important piece of information anyone could know about Mark was that he was a born again believer in JESUS CHRIST and was ready to meet His Savior at the time of his death. We will miss you, Mark, but we have solace in that we know where you are and we will see you soon. Services have been held. Donations can be made to the Kids 4 Truth Program at Northwest Valley Baptist Church, 4030 W Yorkshire, Glendale, Arizona 85308. Please visit to leave condolences for his family.
