Family-Placed Death Notice

MOSS, Thomas M. Thomas M. Moss passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013, after a long battle with Cancer. Tom was born on November 13, 1931 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Ruby and Robert Moss. He grew up in Grant Park in Atlanta and graduated from Hoke Smith High School. After high school he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. After leaving the military, he attended The University of Georgia Business School ñ Atlanta Campus. He went to work for M&F Supply Company, which later became BESCO Supply Company, where he continued to work for 37 years until retiring in 2001 as Vice President. His hobbies included watching Georgia Tech Football, playing Golf and extensive travels all over the world. During his years of running the business in the Atlanta Office, he and his co-workers shared a wonderful camaraderie. Daily lunches and afternoon business meetings were held at Harry's Bar and the Admiral Benbow Inn on Spring Street in Atlanta. He is preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Nona Ann Dunlavy Moss, and Brother John Robert Moss, Jr. He is survived by Sister, Barbara Jean Moss Pica, Middletown, R.I.; Sister-In-Law Gerry Moss, Conyers, Ga.; Son, Jason Lovette Moss and Daughter-In-Law, Anna Blitz Moss, Druid Hills, Ga.; Daughter, Sharon Michelle Moss-Bonner and Son-In-Law, Joseph Douglas Bonner, Fayetteville, Ga.; Grandchildren, Stephanie Marie Bonner, Nona Lillie Bonner, Lucas Manning Moss and Maxine Rudy Moss (GiGi), and many Nieces and Nephews. The Body was cremated at West Georgia Crematory. A service with family and friends will be planned at a later date.
