GATEWOOD, Rosemary

Rosemary Moore was born in Zanesville, Ohio on June 10, 1925. Growing up during the Depression taught her the value of a strong work ethic which she carried through retirement. She married H. Erle Driggs at the age of 18 and sent him off to France to fight in the second World War. The result was a daughter. Divorced, she then married Herbert Gatewood and they lived in Jacksonville, Florida until his death in 1998. She spent the last years with her daughter, Michele, in Decatur. Her career was the usual office related jobs until she became a court reporter for the National Labor Relations Board and traveled hearing cases and recording, verbatim, those cases. It was a varied and interesting job which she enjoyed very much. She stayed on top of current events, handled her own finances and was very much interested in the world being an avid reader. She will be missed. Due to COVID a memorial service may be held at a later date. Please visit www.asturner.com to sign her online guestbook.
