Mr. Capone was my 4th grade teacher at Riverdale. I remember him so fondly, he was my favorite teach I ever had. I think of him often now and how unique his teaching style was for me back then, I was not an easy student but Mr. Capone always believed in me and encouraged me to succeed in my own way. I am so grateful to have had him as my teacher and to have known and been influenced by such a kind and wonderful person. So sad to hear this news. I hope he knew how much he meant to his students and the impact he had on earth. Rest peacefully

So sorry to hear about the passing of “Gibby”. Although we lost touch over the years, I will always remember his visits with myself and my husband Ricky on Wednesday nights when he would bring over sundaes. I lost Ricky in 2018 but I’m sure they are doing something fun together. RIP Gibby!
