To the family of Norman J. Gautreau:
I was so saddened to hear of the death of Norman. I loved his artwork and spent several afternoons at his home selecting prints of his beautiful artwork of Revere Beach. I was privileged to view the spectacular painting that he did of all of the Boston Sports Teams that played at the Boston Garden. He painted it for the Boston Garden when they closed and became Bank North Garden. Unfortunately, it was not choosen. Afterward he brought the print to our law office because he had a question about the logos on the jerseys being protected under the trade mark law. He had so much integrity. He did not want to infringe on copywright or trademark laws. I do not think he ever offered this painting for print or sale. Too bad as everyone who loved sports would have purchased the print. Everyone was in the painting. Famous Celtics the Bruin Hockey Team that won the Stanley Cup, etc. I wish I had been able to purchase a print of his beautiful Boston Public Gardens Swan Boat painting, but they were out of print. Sad to know that there will be no more beautiful paintings done of Revere Beach.

As a fan of Revere Beach and of Norman's artwork. I'd just like to express my condolences upon his passing. I did get to meet him once 20 years ago at an exhibit in Revere. Also, his art exhibit was at Bunker Hill Community College around 1999. I believe he once worked for the State at the Department of Public Works.

To the Gautreau Family
I'm so sorry for your Loss of Norman. He was truly a special Man and I was so fortunate to know him and Rose. They were both so special as friends to me. They had a way of always making one feel special. I know they are together in the arms of our Lord.
I will never forget them as a loving couple with all the pride in their eyes as they told the wonderful stories of all their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren,Yes Rose and Norman were so proud of their families.
and all their success in life.
Norman Gave us so much by his paintings, Especially how he included all the family members in his various art work. You are all special and such a great family because you were all taught kindness and love from your Mom and Dad and this has passed down by your parents in your hearts and it shows in all you do.
I know Norman and Rose will continue being proud of all of you as our lives go on. I believe they are in heaven watching over their family. They are still watching and talking to the Angels with pride as they share their stories of their wonderful Family
God Bless you all
Love,
Lois

Dear Gautreau family. It was with deep sadness that I learned of your dad's passing. I have so many fond memories of his kind and vibrant personality back in the days when young Norm and I were hanging around together at Immaculate Conception School and at Community Boating. I remember his patience in trying to teach me to shoot pool and even more so when it came to hitting his curving whiffle ball. I was so glad to see him receiving the recognition he so deserved for his marvelous paintings, especially those of Revere Beach. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I know how much he will be missed. Dear Family,
The feeling of being orphaned twice is indeed unique, but unique only begins to describe my life in the Gautreau fold. Our 50 year bond is forever held together with loving memories - too numerous to recount. May "Dad" and "Ma" rest in the arms of Jesus. Thank you!

Dear Gautreau Family,
What can we say! We will miss Norman. Although we didn't see him often recently, many of his paintings continue to grace our walls and memories. Ellen will remember Norman from her childhood - always ready to play a game, share his darkroom expertise and just be there if you needed him - for anything. He was a wonderful man and a good friend to the Andrykes Family. We love him and Rose and are happy they were a part of our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We take great comfort in knowing there are two good angels looking out for us now and hope you take comfort in your fondest memories of both Norman and Rose.
With sincerest sympathy, The Lotufo Family - Ellen (Andrykes), Scott, Dan & Ethan
