Edward was born and grew up in Liverpool, England and was a proud Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. Predeceased by his wife Dorene in 2004, he leaves behind his daughter Lesley (Rob) and his son Michael (Corry). An apprentice electrician employed wiring Halifax bombers in the early part of WWII. He joined the Royal Engineers and began an 18 year career that landed him in Normandy on D-Day, then attached to the SAS for the duration, the post war occupation of Germany, the middle east, the Malaysian conflicts and finally back to England as a Clerk of Works. Moving to Canada in 1966 he began a career as an expert mechanic, finally retiring from his position with the Alberta Govt. as a Transport Safety Inspector. Many thanks to the staff at Sandstone in Okotoks and Wentworth Manor in Calgary for taking such good care of him in his last years. He will be missed.
