icon James P. Manda, of Westchester, age 90. Jim is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Ruth, nee D'louhy of 63 years; loving father of Joan (Tom) Brady, and Holly (Tom) Pawlak; proud grandfather of Jill (Robert) Merritt, James Pawlak; great-grandfather of Bobby Merritt; dear brother of George (Anita), the late Loretta (Dr. Robert) Emanuele. Jim was born in Chicago and attended grammar school and high school in the suburbs of Cicero and Berwyn respectably Jim graduated from the University of Illinois (Champaign) and spent three and a half years in the Navy. being honorably discharged as a Lt. J.G. During his career Jim worked for United Airlines and CIT Corporation prior to starting Quality Septic, which he operated for over 35 years. Jim was very active at Divine Providence Church and VFW Post 10778 in Western Springs. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester on Tuesday, from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to Divine Providence Church 10 a.m. Mass. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
