Frank Peter Mrufchinski

Frank Peter Mrufchinski, 84, of Nanticoke, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019. He was the late son of Frank Henry and Tillie Wesoloski Mrufchinski.

He was a 1956 graduate of King's College and was a history and English teacher at the Lake-Lehman School District for over 20 years.

He was a very active member of St. Stanislaus Church, Nanticoke, and sang in the choir for over 40 years. He visited the Mill Memorial Library regularly and enjoyed reading. He was named Rotarian of the Year in 1991 and received the Paul Harris Award.

Frank worked tirelessly as a Republican committeeman in Nanticoke.

Frank was an avid Notre Dame football fan and visited and stayed on the campus in 2002.

Frank was a lover of all God's animals.

He currently was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception in Wilkes-Barre.

The apple of his eye was his great-niece, Lindsee Waldron. He is survived by his twin sister, Teresa Lack; niece, Colleen Waldron and her husband, David Waldron; his great-niece, Lindsee Waldron; and his four beloved cats.

A blessing service will take place at 11:15 a.m. Thursday from Stanley Stegura Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to King's College, or the Eternal Word Television Network.

Frank will be laid to rest in St. Stanislaus Parish Cemetery, Nanticoke.
