Salvatore R. Mazzella, 89, died on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at St. Clare's Medical Center in Denville, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from The O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield on Friday at 9:00 AM. Born in Newark, Salvatore lived in Newark and Bloomfield, and the last 50 years in Rockaway Township. He was an Army Veteran of World War II before working as a Butcher for Grand Union in Denville as well as many other chain Supermarkets. He was a member of Local 464 A of Little Falls.
Salvatore was the husband of Sara (Sadie) Mazzella (nee Aldiero) for 63 years; father of Anna Ferrara and her husband Robert of Sparta, and Joyce Mazzella-Smith and her husband Frank of Rockaway; brother of Theresa Policelli of Toms River, and the late Sylvia Ventola; grandfather of Deanna Sanders and her husband Jerremy, Dara Litts, Michael and Marisa Ferrara.
