Chincoteague Island, VA-Frank Dennis Watson, 82 of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away Tuesday, January 7th, at his residence.

Frank was born on Chincoteague Island, VA on March 23, 1931, the son of the late Hallie M. (Bowden) and Charles L. Watson, Sr.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #159.

He retired from NASA as an electrical contractor with VT Griffin Corporation.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Medical Corps.

Mr. Frank is best remembered for his good natured humor, his ability in giving anything broken new life, and willingness to help anyone in anyway he could.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cecile Carey Watson of Chincoteague Island, VA; four children, Larry Watson and his wife Jackie of Codorus, PA, Kenneth Watson and his wife Beverly of Chincoteague Island, VA, Regena Haugh and her husband Herb of Wattsville, VA, John Watson and his wife Connie of Snow Hill, MD; five grandchildren, Sandra Reynolds, Matthew Watson, Bryan Haugh, Morgan Haugh, Nicole Watson; two great grandchildren, Selena Reynolds, Chase Haugh; one brother Ernest Watson and his wife Connie of Salisbury, MD; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, five brothers, infant son, Frank Watson Jr., and two granddaughters, Michelle and Kendra Watson.

Friends are invited to call Thursday 7-9 PM at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc.

Funeral Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Friday, January 10th, with Rev. Travis DeLoach and Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.

Interment will be held in Downing Cemetery Oak Hall, VA.
