John R. Bothell Obituary
John R. Bothell

In loving memory of John Robert Bothell who peacefully joined our Dear Lord Jesus, Wednesday, November 14, 2012, surrounded by his family who dearly loved him.

John was born March 19, 1942 in Seattle Washington. He was married to his loving and caring wife, Carole Bothell. John lovingly thought of Carole as his best friend, partner and the love of his life. John and Carole raised two beautiful children, Christopher John and Julie Ann Bothell, and his precious grandsons, Ryan and Matthew Bothell.

John had many talents. He was very active in his church as a devoted Catholic and served as a Lector. He worked as a Health, Safety and Hazardous Material Instructor at General Motors. He attended Western Washington State College, Widener College and Goldey Beacom College and always managed to excel on the Dean's List with a 4.0 average. John was a gifted intelligent man.

John always measured his success in life with pride for his family. He was an avid reader with the daily reading of his Bible. He loved golf, classical music, fishing, going to concerts and had pride in his gardening. He was also a gourmet cook. He was a member of the Army and National Guard and loved serving his country. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Men of Malvern.

John always maintained a great sense of humor and was always very humble. He was a strong minded individual who fought all the way to the unexpected day of his passing.

He will be sadly missed by his dear wife, Carole, his children and two grandsons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 17, at St. John the Beloved Church on Milltown Road. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville, DE. Family and friends may visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Saturday from 12 to 1 pm.
