Shawn David Bleeker, son of Ginny (Bleeker) Garnett was born September 8, 1977, in Ames, Iowa, and died May 24, 2012 at the age of thirty-four.
Shawn served his country for 17 years as an Army helicopter pilot and pilot instructor engaging in four tours of deployment. He achieved the rank of CW4 (Chief Warrant Officer 4) and was highly decorated for his valor and military accomplishments.
