I never met Newton in person. We e-mailed each other several times over the past few years. I didn't realize he had passed. I had tried to get in touch with him but was unable to get a response. I also tried to phone him but was unable to leave a message. Our families, the Burch's and Ruckman's goes back to Kentucky before either family moved to Iowa in the 1800's. When we began our friendship, I learned his daughter Marcia had been born September 16th, 1955 at the Knoxville Hospital. I was born September 18, 1955 at the Knoxville Hospital. I had wondered if perhaps our parents had met at the hospital at that time . I am glad I was able to "meet" Newton and have the conversations we did have, it meant a lot to me. I am truly sorry for your loss...
