Rick Shaw Obituary
1952 ~ 2018
Salina, Utah - Ricky Gail Shaw, 65, passed away October 16, 2018 at his home in Salina from complications of pneumonia.
Rick was born October 31, 1952 in Salina. The son of W. Gail and Mary Shaw. Later he moved to Salt Lake City where he grew up. He graduated from Cotton Wood High School and then attended Southern Utah University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in two years. He moved back to Salina where he lived with His Grandparents Ted and Myrt Shepherd.
Rick was an old-time cowboy who loved to ride horses and he loved the farm. He liked to go lion and bear hunting. He enjoyed Riding four wheelers. He loved the outdoors.
He worked for Tom John's Chevrolet dealership in Salina, and then worked for the Forest Service for many years.
Rick suffered with an undiagnosed neurological disease that left him wheelchair bound, and in a great deal of pain for many years. Though he suffered greatly he always kept a positive attitude, and he never lost his great sense of humor. He was an amazing example of strength and fortitude to his many friends and family.
