Obituary Condolences

Jesus Juan Castillo was born on August 3, 1948 in Juarez, Mexico and passed away on May 13, 2013. He came to the U.S. as a child. He got his break in business, selling newspapers in Downtown El Paso at the age of 6. Through adolescence he worked the fields up and down the west coast. After graduating from Gadsden High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. Upon his honorable discharge he received a Certificate of Commendation for his courage, superior professionalism and unwavering devotion to duty. When he returned home, he married and began his family and later got his start in the electrical trade with Upper Valley Electric. He spent the last 30 years building his company, Castillo Electric, with his wife. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Castillo, his father, Jesus Castillo Sr., his step-mother, Consuelo Castillo and his brother Gerardo Castillo. He leaves behind his wife, Martha, his children, Maria Claudia (Jose Del Val), Adelaida Cruz (Gaither Whaley II), Jesus Juan III, his siblings, Emilio, Carlos, Estela Palomares, Evangelina Ceniceros, Daniel, Olivia Enriquez, Roberto, his grandchildren, David, Daniella, Soraya, Mica, Bella, nieces, nephews, a dedicated crew of employees and very good friends. He loved life - he loved his life. His love, his smile and Pepin's knack for nicknames will be greatly missed! Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home - West with a Vigil Service to begin at 7 p.m. Graveside Service will be Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with funeral procession leaving funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Services under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME - WEST. 5054 Doniphan Drive 587-0202
