BONNEAUVILLE Robert E. Clabaugh, Sr., 92, entered into God's eternal care, Friday, February 8, 2013, at the Hanover Hospital. Robert was the loving husband of Miriam A. (Chrismer) Clabaugh, who died February 6, 2000. Born August 9, 1920, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late John M. and Anna A. (Sanders) Clabaugh. Mr. Clabaugh was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville, The Catholic War Veterans Post 1342, and The AMVETS Post 172, Gettysburg. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy having served his country proudly during World War II. Robert retired in 1984 after 47 years at the Hanover Shoe Company and was a life-long Dairy Farmer. Robert is survived by his children, Mike Clabaugh, Robert Clabaugh, Jr., Richard Clabaugh, Donald Clabaugh, Tom Clabaugh, Ken Clabaugh, Jeff Clabaugh, Doug Clabaugh, Sandra Sherman, Judy Wagner Dorothy Johnson, Kim Miller all of Gettysburg, William Clabaugh of New Oxford, Tim Clabaugh and Kathy Cullison both of Hanover; 55 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Clabaugh of Gettysburg, and James Clabaugh of Hanover; two sisters, Mary Selby of Littlestown, Anna Sneeringer of Bonneauville. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Victoria Vargas; two grandchildren, Greg Dutrow and David Clabaugh; five brothers, Joseph, Bernard, Francis, Clarence and Guy Clabaugh; and two sisters, Mildred Bowling and Helen Oaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 10 East Hanover Street, Bonneauville, with Father Augusty Thankachan Valomchalil as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Church Cemetery. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the church, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. Memorial contributions in memory of Robert may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 10 E. Hanover St., Gettysburg, PA 17325. The Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 E.
