Hallie "Hal" Agre

Great Falls —61, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 5, 2014 into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Great Falls Christian Center, 4114 N. Park Trail, Great Falls, MT. Hal was the eldest of 3 sons born to Ellen & Gordon Agre. He was active in baseball & hockey throughout his entire youth. He graduated from CMR High School in 1971. Following high school he was provided an opportunity to play professional hockey as a goalie in Canada, however upon receiving his draft notice for Vietnam he sacrificed his lifelong dream of playing professional hockey and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served his country in Vietnam aboard the U.S.S. Bainbridge. Upon his return from Vietnam he married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Fatz in April of 1973. He continued his time in the U.S. Navy practicing as a Corpsman, where he discovered his passion for medicine & caring for others. After completion of his service he entered the Deaconess Radiology School where he graduated as an x-ray technician in 1975. Following graduation he embarked on his career in radiology at Deaconess Hospital, where he would eventually hold numerous management positions, and pass on his knowledge to future x-ray students as an instructor for the radiology school until his retirement in 1996. Of all his accomplishments, he was most proud of his two daughters, Brittany & Lindsey. Following retirement, Hal was faced with several challenges, yet he never strayed away from his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith & family were of utmost importance to Hal, and he ensured those same values were instilled in his daughters. Hal is survived by his daughters Brittany (Ryan) Plouffe of Worthington, OH and Lindsey Agre of Helena, MT; grand puppy Rudy Plouffe; sister Paulette Provenzano of MA; brothers Ted (Roni) Agre of AK, and Kurt Agre of MT; 2 very special nephews, Eric Coleman & Curtis Agre of MT, as well as numerous nieces and nephews around the country that he spoke of often.
