BOKENO, Jr., Robert A. age 57 of Hamilton, passed away suddenly at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 11:44 AM. He was born in Hamilton on June 16, 1955 to Robert and Nancy (Rosmarin) Bokeno. He was educated at St. Ann School and was valedictorian of the Garfield High School class of 1973. Bob also received a BA Degree in Accounting from Miami University, and furthered his studies at Michigan State University. Bob passed all four parts of the rigorous CPA Exam on his first attempt, and was recruited by the former accounting firm of Price Waterhouse where he was employed for several years. In addition, Bob taught Accounting and Economics at Michigan State University. He was most recently employed as Controller for Gutter Shutter Cincinnati. Bob is survived by his brother, Stephen Bokeno; his nephews Anthony, Matthew, and Ryan Bokeno; his niece, Emily Bokeno; and two great nephews; his uncles John (Shirley) Rosmarin, Donald (Pauletta) Bokeno; and aunts, Becky (Nghia Pham) Rosmarin, and Aunt Maudie.He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Anthony (Helen) Bokeno, and John (Vivien) Rosmarin; uncle Richard A. Bokeno; and cousin Rocco A. Bokeno. Bob was a baseball aficionado and an avid bicyclist for many years. During one of his long trips, after a cross country journey from Los Angeles, California to Ohio, he was met in Cincinnati and interviewed on the Bob Braun Show. Memorial service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 6PM with Fr. Larry Tharp of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 5-6PM at the funeral home.
