Zachary Gladstone Obituary
Zachary is survived by his parents, Jon Gladstone and Erin Gladstone, his brothers, Chase and Max Gladstone, who he absolutely adored, his grandparents, Leonard and Phyllis Richards "Maw Maw & Paw Paw", Harry Turner "Granddaddy", Mary Ann and John Slaton "Grandmom & John", Dale Gladstone "Granddaddy Dale", aunts and uncles, and many cousins. And his best friend in the world, Aaron Sprague. Zachary was preceded in death by his infant sister, Lucy Ann, and his "Nana", Judi Clark.
Zachary lit up any room he entered, and if you ever saw his beautiful, infectious smile, you would never forget it. Zachary touched the lives of so many, and I think we all can say that the world lost a sweet soul last week. He never met a stranger, but always met a friend.
A service to honor Zachary will be held at Northside Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 with visitation following immediately in the Sanctuary. The family will also receive friends after the service and visitation at the home of Sandy and Sharon Newton at 638 Oakwood Lane.
Please learn all you can about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) so you will have an understanding of the toll it takes on our Veterans, their families, and their friends. It is simply a debilitating illness that many suffer from in silence, and can leave a path of destruction in its wake. Make sure your loved ones seek the help they need.

Zach (Or Happyrock as he was sometimes known as) was one of the best people I ever had the pleasure of serving with. His great charm and cheer is remembered fondly. I hope his family is doing well and that they know their son's sacrifice will always be appreciated by some. Semper Fidelis.

We here at Unleashed by Petco were so saddened to hear of this tragic news. Zach made many friends out of the customers that he assisted. He would always light up the store with his beautiful smile and enthusiasm. Zach will be missed terribly by the team. We send our sincere condolences to his family and all who knew him. Thank you for your service to our great nation Sir! Our family salutes you! We are praying for your family and friends. You Sir have fought the fight and have now found peace. Our family also knows how PTSD takes hold of our young men/women in uniform! Our son served w/the Marines 2007-2012 and still suffers with PTSD. We will continue to pray that the VA will help ALL our Vets - not years down the road - but as soon as they return from war! My thoughts, and prayers are staying with Zach's family and friends. I still cannot find the right words to say, because there are none. His smile, laugh and personality were contagious! I met him in middle school, he was one of the first friends I made in the "big kid territory". So many great times and memories that I'll forever cherish.

To the family, friends and Marine brothers of Zachary Gladstone our deepest sympathies and condolences to each of you. Our son was so impressed with Zack, his commitment,professionalism, engaging personality and laughter. Chris was Zack's Squad Leader 1/7 WPNS CO and told me this week about what a great Marine and great character he was, but then you already knew that. Our heart breaks for each of you and our prayers and thoughts along with so many others is of hope of some small comfort. We thank you and your son for his service to the United States of America and for being the finest young man and a Marine.

It's so sad that he couldn't get the help that we owed him. As a former Marine, it sickens me that we haven't figured that out.

I did not know Zachary, but I have a Young Marine and have friends who have served. My heart sure goes out to you and I pray that the Lord brings you comfort and peace. I am so sorry he had to suffer with PTSD, I am very appreciative of his service and sacrifice to our country. He is surely gone to soon and I am a former Bearcat as well. Much love to your family.

Zach was such a wonderful person! JROTC wouldn't have been the same without him. He would make your belly hurt from laughing so hard. His smile would light up the room when he was present he was a ray of sunshine. He will be greatly missed by so many. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
