Jerry Moody Adams, 81,departed this life March 12, 2015. Born in Mayfield, Kentucky to Jerry Adams, Sr., and Bessie Emerson Adams. Survived by his loving wife, Ruby Walker Adams; sons, Mark Desmond Adams of San Leandro, CA., Dan David Adams of Patrick AFB, FL, and Randal Key Adams of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Predeceased by his son, Gary Mitchell Adams. Jerry is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Jerry Adams was a loving son, husband and father. He will be deeply missed by his family. Jerry was not only a top notch salesman but also an avid historian and passionate collector. He knew everything there was to know about his historical collections and was often sought after by many for his extensive knowledge. Jerry began his collections from his father and inspired the same with his sons. A lifelong Floridian Jerry was an excellent sailor both in the Gulf and rivers of Florida, boating was always a passion with Jerry, his father and Jerry's sons.
He was an inspiration to his sons and all of his family to enjoy life and to always make time for the people and things that make you happy.
A memorial service for Jerry will be held at National Cremation Society Chapel, 2990 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, on June 5, 2015 at 11:00a.m.
