Joe Millward
January 12, 1928 - June 17, 2014
Joe was born January 12, 1928 to Roger and Margaret Millward in St. Anthony, Idaho, the youngest of 12. Joe joined the Navy in 1945 and served his country from Guam. Upon discharge, he moved to Boise, where, on April 25, 1948, his life truly began with his marriage to Rosie Bahrychuk. His career spanned retail, with The Bon Marche, retiring in 1978; then a new career as a financial planner, building his own company, and retiring again in 1991. After traveling 12 years in their motor home with their beloved Ollie, they decided to stay home. That's when computers entered his life. He saw a need to teach seniors in his community how to stay in touch with family through e-mail. That led to building and repairing computers. He thrived on education and helping others. After a 12 year battle with cancer, Joe died peacefully at home, surrounded by his entire family. All arrived in time to say goodbye with hugs and kisses to this wonderful man.
Joe is survived by Rosie, children Richard (Sharon), Julie (Ted), Joe (Linda) and Jacque (Don); nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. At his request, there will be no services. Because of Joe's love of animals and the devotion of his little Rexi, who gave him a kiss every night, please make a contribution to Canyon County Animal Shelter 5801 Graye Lane Caldwell, Id 83607, in lieu of flowers.
