Rollo Eli Barrett
Rollo Eli Barrett, 90 of Boise passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday January 14, 2013. Dad was born August 28, 1922 in St. Anthony, Idaho. He was the second son born to Albert and Alta Leona (Lee) Barrett. He attended Sugar-Salem schools. He left Idaho in 1938 and went to Monrovia, California to pursue a career in Plaster with his uncle Ross Lee.
He returned to Idaho and married his childhood sweetheart Neva Bates. Mom and dad were married November 15, 1941. Dad served in the Navy during World War II from 1944 to 1946.
Rollo was daddy to Peggy, Tana, Mary, JoAnn and Rollo. Dad and mom were married for 65 years. Mom returned to her Heavenly Father in 2006. In 2007 dad married Renie Muir.
Dad was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a Bishop, councilor to Bishops, ward clerk, Sunday school teacher and had many other callings.
Dad was preceded in death by his wife Neva; daughter Tana; son-in-law Buddy; his parents and brothers: Lee, Duane and Darrell. He is survived by his wife Renie; daughters: Peggy (Lee) Russell, Mary (Darin) Smith and JoAnn (Larry) Grensing; his son Rollo (Heidi) Barrett; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; his sister Colleen Bishop and sister-in-law Jo Barrett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Victory View Ward LDS Chapel, 3700 S. Maple Grove in Boise. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the chapel prior to the services. Bishop Anderson will be conducting the services. Arrangements are being provided by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300
