Maurine Adele Beach, 85, Carmel, IN passed away February 17, 2014 peacefully at home. Maurine was born December 17, 1928 in Chicago, IL.

Maurine moved to Carmel as a child with her family and became an invaluable resource to her community throughout her fruitful life leaving positive influence and memories with all she helped along the way. Maurine was a proud graduate of the Carmel High School class of 1946 and attended Purdue University before marriage to Stanley B. Beach on December 22, 1950.

Maurine partnered with her husband Stanley on many business ventures in Carmel and Indianapolis while working at Eli Lilly & Company where she retired from in 1990.

Maurine led an active life in retirement as a mainstay of the Carmel Friends Church, the Mohawk Hills Ladies Golf league and Bridge Clubs. Other passions included travel and cruises, all aspects of helping her family and friends, following the Indianapolis Colts, reading and collecting every Star Trek book every written, volunteer work, and anonymously assisting so many throughout her life.

Maurine is survived by son, Rex A. Beach and wife Julie (Wilson), Carmel; and daughter Sandra S. Hubbard and her husband Earl of Indianapolis, brother, Marion R. and wife Margaret (Hall) Simpson, Indianapolis; and three grandchildren, Lauren Hubbard, Emma Beach and Haley Beach.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Stanley Beach in 1976; her parents, Gladis R. and Florence (Crews) Simpson; and brothers, Warren B. Simpson and Earl P. Simpson.

Friends and Family will gather from 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 23 in Leppert Mortuary-Carmel . Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 24 in Carmel Friends Church. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmel Friends Church Home Mission or Food Pantry, 651 W. Main Street, Carmel, Indiana 46032.
