Anthony "Tony" Ryan Walter

61, of Zionsville, IN, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the only child of the late Eugene and Mary (Ryan) Walter born on November 7, 1951 in Wooster, OH.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marianne Bidwell Walter and his sons, Anthony Ryan Jr., Adam M. (Sarah) and Arthur B. Walter. Tony loved his family above all things in this world. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1974. He was Vice-President of Magnode Corporation for 34 years. He was a parishioner at St. Luke Catholic Church for 34 years where he participated in many ways including coaching CYO football for many years. He served as an Officer of the Notre Dame Club of Indianapolis and as Chairman of the Finishing Committee of the Aluminum Extruders Council. He was also an active member at Highland Golf and Country Club.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, March 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Michael Bidwell, Father James Bonke, Msgr. Joseph Schaedel and Father John Nwanze at St. Luke Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on March 15th.
