Chiappetti, Carl Joseph Died peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at the age of 88. Survived by his wife of 25 years Marilyn (nee Gallaher); children Thomas (Liz), Mary (Joe) Weber, Martha Wells, Theresa (Rick) Clement, Margaret (Dave) Axt, Mario (Vickie), Edith, Edward (Char) and Eileen and step-children Dave (Kim) Zachow, Dr. Rob (Sarah) Zachow and Cari Zachow-John; brother Bob (Mary) Chiappetta. Further survived by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by his first wife Althea, son Mark and 8 siblings. Carl and Marilyn enjoyed a very loving life together and were well traveled. Carl was an avid sheepshead competitor at Wilson Park. He served our country during WWII in the Army-Air Corps. He was the former adjunctant and commander of the VFW Post at GE and a member of the Good News Singers at St. Alphonsus' Catholic Church. Carl was a character, enjoying life to the fullest. He once drove a car in reverse from Milwaukee to Kenosha for repairs. Memorial Gathering Saturday, December 14, at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 8500 W. Coldspring Rd., Greenfield, from 12-1:45 PM. Memorial Service 2 PM. Carl's family would like to thank the staff at Maple Ridge for all their loving care given to Carl.
