Ellis Morser Obituary

Ray passed away peacefully at his home on September 30, 2012.

He was born in Los Angeles on January 14, 1925 and grew up in Fresno, CA. He was a WWII veteran, UCLA graduate, and worked 30 years for Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA as a contract negotiator. Ray will forever be remembered for his volunteer work with the West Valley Family YMCA and Y's Men's Club in Reseda, CA, having participated in various youth programs with his sons and was influential in raising substantial funds through annual support campaigns. He received The Golden Book of Distinguished Service Award in 1996 in recognition of his efforts with the YMCA.

Ray was married to his wife Mary Lou for 59 years before her passing in 2009. He will forever be remembered by his closest friends and family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, beloved family member, coach and truly a special friend.

He is survived by his sons, Mark and Michael; daughter-in-law, Laura; and grandchildren, Nicholas and Meagan.
