Dugan, Joseph L. "Joe",

77, of Louisville, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Baptist Health.

Joe was retired from Old Fitzgerald Distillery, where he had 25 years of service; was a member of Ascension Catholic Church; the St. Martin Brotherhood; St. Edward Booster Club; Jeffersontown Little League Board and had coached football and basketball at St. Edward and baseball for Jeffersontown Little League. He was also on the Jeffersontown Community Center Board and was an officer of the Jeffersontown Optimist Club. Joe was also a U. S. Navy veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph L., Sr. and Eleanor Moore Dugan; a sister, Shirley Vittow; daughter-in-law, Linda Dugan; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pete and Mickey Holzknecht.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Holzknecht Dugan; sons, Ted Dugan (Donna) and Pat Dugan (Becky); daughter, Cheryl Dugan; brothers, Charles M. "Mickey" Dugan (Pam), Louis B."Louie" Dugan (JoAnn), and Fred M. Dugan (Suzanne); sister, Carmen "Carmie" Bolton (Paul); as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Ascension Catholic Church, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive, with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be 1 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.
