Deward Eades Obituary
88, an accomplished artist, passed away on Saturday, January, 30, 2016.
He was born on October 30, 1927 in Richmond, KY. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Marine Corps. Deward received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Eastern University in Richmond. He taught high school art for 31 years in Bellport, NY, retiring in 1982. He was awarded a Fulbright Teaching Fellowship to teach in London, England and spent a year's sabbatical in Madrid, Spain. Deward attended Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Rebecca DeLoach Eades; three children, Enid Redman, Erik Eades (Diana) and Brian Eades Loessl (Sheri); four grandchildren, Briana Eades, Tiffany Redman, Melissa Blandford (John) and Connor Eades Loessl; two great-grandchildren, Penelope Blandford and Juliet Blandford; three stepchildren, Kay DeLoach, Robert DeLoach and Jonathan DeLoach; two stepgrandchildren, Briggs Deloach and Nathalie DeLoach; sister Clara Eades Points of Fort Collins, CO. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Rose Marie Pfalzer and brother Forrest William Eades.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, February 20, at 11 a.m. at Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church, 311 Browns Lane, Louisville. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. before the ceremony. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of your choice.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Deward. He and Rose Marie were friends of my parents (Bob and Odette Bentley) years ago when they lived in NY. They kept in touch & I remember visits from them to our home in CT fondly.
Deward was an amazingly talented artist--a painting of his occupied a central place in our house when I was growing up. He was a wonderful person.

I'm sorry to see that your dad passed away, Enid. I never met him, but I heard you talk about him from time to time. Once you showed me a picture of some of his paintings and I thought they were incredible! I'm sure he was a remarkable man. Know you're in my thoughts and prayers.
