Bennie Finelli, 84, of Bangor passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday January 15, 2014 at home. Born February 2, 1929 in Bangor, a son of the late Daniel and Grace DeCesare Finelli. He and his beloved wife, former Mary Tanzosh, were married 62 years last June 13. Bennie was a 1948 graduate of Bangor High School and was employed by the Bridge Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers Union Local #36 for 55 years retiring in 1985. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband and loving father and a proud grandfather. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Roseto, and a member of the Martocci-Capobianco American Legion Post 750 of Roseto and the Naples Italian American Club of Naples, FL Survivors: In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by a son, Dr. Daniel Finelli Esq. and his wife Dr. Lorrie Finelli of Ambler. PA; daughter, Grace Marie Finelli of Bangor.; his sister, Rosalie Finelli; and a brother, Stephen Finelli both of Bangor; and two grandchildren, Nicole and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Dr. Michael Finelli died earlier. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 18 at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Third and Garibaldi, Roseto. Relatives and Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Fiore Funeral Home, 230 Market Street, Bangor. www.fiorefuneralhome.com.
