Chester Withers Obituary
Chester "Michael" Withers

MANSFIELD: Chester "Michael" Withers, 63, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Hospice House in Ashland. Born January 16, 1950 in Mansfield, he was the son of Elex and Evelyn (Bond) Withers. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he attended Mansfield Senior High and was a member of the Southside Church of Christ on Mansfield-Lucas Road. He worked for Fuji Photo as a film processor and as a bail bondsman for several years. Michael also worked as a youth coordinator helping dozens of children at Friendly House. Although laid back, he always lived life to the fullest, was always joking around and gave everyone nicknames. He loved to travel, especially to Arizona, cooking, watching westerns, fishing, raising horses, and was an excellent marksman but his greatest love was spending time with his family.

He is survived by a son, Michael Withers, Jr. of Illinois; sisters, Hattie Martin of Mansfield, Evelyn (Jerry) Saunders of Mansfield and Annie Withers Taylor of Columbus; brothers, Alex Withers, Jr. of Mansfield, Mark Withers of CA, Jeffery "Jeff" Withers of Mansfield and Anthony "Tony" Withers of CA; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Pastor Leon Bond. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh, OH. Friends may call prior to the funeral service, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wappner Funeral Directors on behalf of Chester "Mike" Withers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of North Central Ohio for their wonderful care.
