AGE: 85 • South Plainfield

Theodore " Kip" Aniunas, 85, died peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his home. Born in South Plainfield he is a lifelong resident of the borough and is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in Hawaii from 1945 -1946. Kip is a retired Sales Representative for Fel - Pro Gaskets, serving the New Jersey Area for a number of years before his retirement in 1990. He had previously been employed by Mack Truck in Plainfield for 18 years. As an original parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in South Plainfield Kip was active in a number of capacities. He had served as an usher for the 5:30pm Mass, and an instrumental volunteer for the Feast of St. Anthony, assisting with the Super 50/50 and the cleanup crew. He also served as a Trustee for the church from 1998-2004 and was a member of the Finance Committee. He is also a life member of the Polish National Home in South Plainfield.

His dear wife of 55 years, Dorothy (Antonowicz) died in May of 2006. They enjoyed many trips together to Atlantic City which they considered their second love. As the last surviving member of the Aniunas family of this generation, he is predeceased by four brothers; Joseph, Casmir, Stanley, & John and two sisters; Stella Zwiercan and Anna Melecki. Surviving are many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080, followed by a 10AM funeral mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Entombment with his beloved wife will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, South Plainfield. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
