ROBERT FARRINGTON Obituary
born November 5, 1929, in Redlands, California, died at his home in Center Harbor, New Hampshire, on October 24. Son of Eugenia and Wilbur Ernest Farrington and a graduate of Pomona College, he served in the U.S. Navy as a fighter pilot, reaching the rank of commander, and flew DC 3s in Antarctica for scientific research. He flew for many years as a captain for Pan Am and later United Airlines out of New York. He was a voracious reader and active athlete all his life, loving sailing, swimming, rowing, running and motorcycles. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Sylvia Stark Farrington, and three siblings, he is survived by his sister, Phyllis Farrington Breiner of Portola Valley, CA. As he requested, there will be no services.
