Columbia Law School is profoundly saddened by the death of the Honorable Sheila Abdus-Salaam '77, an esteemed alumna and trailblazer whose devotion to public service and social justice was unmatched. In addition to being a wise and fair jurist, Judge Abdus-Salaam was kind, generous of spirit, and deeply engaged in the Law School community, where her inspirational legacy will live on. We extend our deepest condolences to her husband, the Rev. Gregory Jacobs '77, family, loved ones, colleagues, and classmates.
