Leo Armistice Little

Mr. Leo Armistice Little, age 89, of Clever, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2012 in the Ozarks Methodist Manor, Marionville, Missouri. Leo was born on November 11, 1924, in Stone County, Missouri, the son of Loyal Floyd and Nola Alice (Chastain) Little.

Leo served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, becoming a Prisoner Of War (POW) in Germany. He was a member of the VFW, and the Greater Ozarks Chapter of Ex-POW's, and went on the Ozarks Honor Flight in September of 2010 to Washington D.C.

He was united in marriage to Iris Ann Landers on November 15, 1948 and they had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Leo was a 50 year Mason at the Billings #379, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kimberling City, and a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Mustangs; and also the Elks Lodge.

He was a retired dairy farmer and cattleman, and a member of the Clever United Methodist Church.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Moletta.

He is survived by his wife, Iris; their children and spouses, Danny and Kathy Little, and Missy and Brent Maples; four grandchildren, Angie Little, Brian Little, Will Maples and girlfriend Lauren Crank, and Sarah Swadley and husband Michael; two great grandchildren, Connor Henderson and Kanaan Swadley; a niece, Sandra Howard; and many other extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013 in Meadors Funeral Home, Clever Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013, also in the funeral home. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with full military honors.
