ELYSBURG - John O. Burba, 84, of Elysburg, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born May 10, 1934, in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Thomas Jr. and Nellie (Yodock) Burba.

He graduated from Ralpho Township High School and was a member of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg.

John was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a printer and owned and operated the Specialty Print Shop in Elysburg until his retirement.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Mare E. (Adams) Burba, in 2005. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Thomas III and Robert.

He is survived by a stepson, Alex Burba, of Mechanicsburg; a nephew, Tom Burba; and nieces and nephews.

BURBA - John O. Burba, 84, of Elysburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Queen of Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg, with the Rev. Joseph Scanlin officiating. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Elysburg. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the Mass Thursday.
