Nancy B. Sanderson

Staunton - Nancy Evelyn (Bell) Sanderson, 88, widow of Wilson L. Sanderson of Staunton, VA departed this life on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at King's Daughters Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.

She was born in Staunton, VA on April 24, 1932, a daughter of the late John and Pauline (Perry) Bell.

Nancy retired from Western State Hospital as a Registered Nurse, with 30 years of service. She enjoyed shopping, getting her hair and nails done weekly, and was known as a well-dressed lady.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William "Billy" Bell and a sister, Shirley Parris.

Surviving are two sons, Donneith C. Sanderson (Wanda) of Staunton, VA and Gary L. Sanderson (Jeanette) of Swoope, VA; grandchildren, including Javon Hyland (Sabrina) of Atlanta, GA, Nichelle West (Phillip) of Petersburg, VA, and Courtney Sanderson Crawford (Ryan) of Chesterfield, VA; a brother, Richard Bell of Swoope, VA; special brother-in-law, Michael Parris of Dale City, VA; a special friend, Katherine Franklin of Staunton, VA and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held in Thornrose Cemetery, Staunton by Reverend Michael Turner.

(Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all current guidelines and restrictions will be followed.)

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
