Dennis R. Brinkoetter NEWALLA
May 25, 1951 - Jan. 21, 2021
Dennis Ray Brinkoetter was called to his heavenly home at age 69 in Newalla, OK on January 21, 2021. He was born to Martin Lawrence and Vera Faye (Bell) Brinkoetter on May 25, 1951. Dennis was confirmed at Messiah Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City, and he remained a devout Lutheran throughout his life. He graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1969. He was a true patriot who served in the United States Marine Corps from 1972 to 1976. His service was a source of great pride for him throughout his life.
Dennis spent the bulk of his career working in utilities construction before retiring from W.N. Couch Construction in 2011. In recent years he kept himself busy by delivering veterinary supplies for Fleet Logistics, LLC. He loved visiting with the people and animals he encountered on his rounds.
Dennis enjoyed watching gardening and cooking programs, and he was well known for his green thumb and his considerable skill in the kitchen. He also enjoyed working with his hands and could always be counted on to fix things around the houses of friends and family members in need. While he was a quiet man of stern countenance, Dennis possessed a gentleness of spirit and a thoughtfulness that made him a favorite of children, animals, and the elderly alike.
He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Vera, sister Vicki Sue, brothers Martin Dale and Alan Dean, and son Daniel Job.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Jeanie Brinkoetter of the home; son Steve (Samantha) Brinkoetter of Grand View, TX; daughter Angela (Jay) Moore of Chesapeake, VA; daughter Shelly Burton of Boise, ID; daughter Denise Brinkoetter of Norman, OK; daughter Cathryn Brinkoetter of the home; son Matthew (Kaley Guinn) Brinkoetter of the home; and grandchildren Ashley, Leslie, and Dylan Davies; Hannah and Bridgett Collins; and Wyatt and Morgan Moore as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
