When I returned to Grambling I was moving into my apartment at Sanders Plaza & as I approached my building with boxes in hand I saw the most beautiful child with long thick ponytails playing jump rope by herself.... One end tied to the stair railing while twirling the other end trying to jump. It reminded me of myself...at college with my mom...being my own best friend. Anywho she politely stopped me and introduced herself.... My name is Morghan and will you play jump rope with me? I sat my boxes down shook her hand & introduced myself and proceed to "play" with my new friend by twirling the rope for at least 5 minutes or so when Shannan came out to tell Mo not to bother the "pretty lady"....I had to take up for my new friend & let her my mom know it was no bother -it was my pleasure....We became friends after that encounter......Thank you Morghan for choosing me to be your mother's friend....And Nizan.....YOU were a blessed bonus as I also have the honor of knowing your father too! May God continue to bless you with his grace & mercy..XXOO

I knew Shannan as a colleague at Technicolor, and during the short time I knew her, she added so much life, wisdom and humor to our day-to-day interactions. My prayers are with the family and especially the beautiful children Shannan spoke of with such pride and unabounding love. May God surround you, the family and cover you with His eternal love.
